This recipe is what Whimsy Cakes was built on.  Whimsy cakes was birth with this recipe from our grandmother.  She was the pound cake maker for all family and friends.  People would travel from afar just to get one of "Mama's" famous 5 flavor pund cakes.  She got her recipe from her mom, and now we have it from our grandmother.  There is no need to have any icing on this moist yet flavorful cake.  But we must warn you it is hard to eat just one slice.  Our pound cakes now come in different flavors, but this one by far is the best one!
